Facebook data deletion

Instructions for information received through a Facebook Page we administer.

Request

How to request deletion

Email editor@todayinmiamibeach.com with the subject “Facebook data deletion request.” Include the Facebook name or profile identifier associated with the interaction and, if available, a link to the relevant Page post or a short description of the message and its approximate date. Do not send a password or government identification document.

Verification

What happens next

We will use the information in your request to locate the relevant records and may ask for limited additional information to verify that the request concerns you. After verification, we will delete or de-identify the Facebook interaction records we control unless we must retain specific information for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the establishment or defense of legal claims. We will reply when the request has been completed or explain why a record must be retained.

Scope

What this request can remove

A verified request can cover copies of Facebook Page comments or messages, Facebook identifiers and display names, interaction timestamps, related post or object identifiers, stored webhook data, interaction history, and draft or audit records held by Today in Network.

This process does not delete content or account information held by Meta or remove a comment or message from Facebook itself. Use Facebook’s own controls to delete that content from Facebook. This process also does not automatically unsubscribe a newsletter email address; use the unsubscribe link in an email or mention the subscription in your request.
